Interceptors, Septic Tanks, Water-Sewer-Gas Lines
Sewer/Water Line Repair/Replace- Repairing or replacing a water service or sewerline is dirty work that requires more then a shovel and some new pipe. You have to be aware of the current local codes, frost depths, grade limits, compaction requirements, backfill material specifications to prevent settling, and concrete and asphalt removal/replacement.
Now that you have all that information and you’ve rented all the proper equipment, are you ready for some backbreaking work? WE ARE! JET Plumbing has over 20 years of experience & the proper equipment and licenses to provide you with a quality turn-key job. Trenchless Sewer Replacement- JET Plumbing utilizes “Pipeburst Technology” to replace sanitary sewer lines. Pipebursting is the only way to replace an existing pipe with full diameter pipe using minimal excavation. Not only does Pipebursting save time and money, it preserves the area of the line rehabilitation and is environmentally safe. In this picture we are replacing approximately 90′ of 8″ sewer line at the Veterans Hospital in Reno.
This sewer line ran between 2 manholes on the east side of the hospital and under the newly built structure shown here to the right. JET was able to replace the existing line with a new H.D.P.E. line without having to alter, remove or damage this structure.
This repair was made December, 2009 at a 4th Street, Reno apartment/condo complex.
Upper Left – 6 inch ductile iron domestic water line.
Lower Left – Domestic main on the right and the ductile iron fire main on the left (under workers foot).
Upper right – Romac repair coupling.
The 6 inch ductile iron domestic water line had a bell and spigot coupling that was reinforced sometime in the past by a bell clamp. It was still leaking about a pint a minute which was seeping through the block wall into the adjacent parking garage. The repair was to cut out the bell and spigot / bell clamp and remove and replace the section of pipe between the leak and the pipe it was connected to in the parking garage. The existing pipe and new pipe were joined with a Romac Coupling and the pipe anchored at the wall. Water was restored by TMWA and the pipes bedded in sand, then the excavation was backfilled and compacted.

Pipe bursting is just one of the ways we are able to replace your entire sewer line or a section of it. This method is used to install a new high density polyethylene line under driveways, landscaped areas and complete structures.
